In late summer of 2021, Keagan had the idea to start a non-profit. In his words:

 

"I was driving down the freeway and it just hit me. I'm sitting in what was my dream truck just 3 years previous. I had been doing very well financially and I started to feel undeserving. I thought to myself, 'There are so many incredible people in this world who deserve more than I have. Why am I so lucky? I'm not the best person and yet I have more than I could ever ask for." At that point, I felt a deep conviction that I wanted to create opportunites for others to have the same things that I did."

 

A few months later, Keagan reached out to what he considers to be some of the greatest individuals he has ever interacted with to create a Board of Directors. The Koloa Foundation is represented by Phil Amone, Nick Strong, Caleb Reber and Kaumana Rindlisbacher with Keagan serving as the Chairman.

 

Mission Statement: The Koloa Foundation is built on the principle of unconditional generosity. We provide and help others to recognize opportunities to succeed in life, business and entrepreneurship. We have been given so much, and we simply want an opportunity to give back.

 

Motto: It takes a Village to raise a Child, but one Child can change a Village.
