The Forge began in May 2019 when Keagan partnered up with his good friend Andrew Baker. The idea sparked for Keagan when he was working at Peek Software. He had a client in Seattle who taught these blacksmithing classes and he loved the idea. After doing some research and finding a solid business partner, he and Andrew jumped in and created an awesome experience for Utahns to share among friends, loved ones and co-workers. They started off doing lessons of 2 people/class with one forge and 2 anvils. By the time they needed to close the business, they were teaching as many as 10 people/class and had 4 anvils for people to work the metal. As great as this idea was, Covid ran rampant in 2020 and unfortunately forced them to close their doors. Despite being forced to shut down, they do have plans to reopen in the near future!
